The Black Series designation is only given to the most extreme of AMG cars, and only one model at a time. For 2008, the CLK63 AMG was thoroughly massaged by AMG engineers and is an absolute beast. Taking its cues from the German DTM Series CLK race-car, the Black Series features upgraded suspension, transmission, unique forged wheels, and even more power from AMG..s punchy and melodious hand-built 6.2L V8. The CLK63 Black Series also has a unique interior with racing-inspired bucket seats (that are still comfortable and luxurious), a rear-seat delete and other weight-saving measures.
The previous owner invested in extremely high-quality upgrades from famed Mercedes-Benz tuner RennTech such as a 1.. suspension lowering (within OEM specs), spacers and extended bolts to increase the track, improve handling, and make the wheels flush with the fenders. On top of this, RennTech also upgraded the ECU to deliver more power, performed an alignment, and added their Sound Performance Modification. The end result is an even more potent, but still very drivable and enjoyable road rocket! You must see and hear this car to believe!
